Roadtrip around the bend

So, John ( my better & hotter other half) works 24/7 he would probably would work sundays if he could .. actaully im pretty sure he has ! . My pointless rant is getting to the conclusion of my wonderful drive around the back county of the valley on sunday by myself :) you would think it would get lonely out on the open road but it was great ! no one to make small talk with, no one giving me weird stares about my horrible singing. Just me, myself and I. & sometimes thats just all you need .

While i was driving around clueless with the music loud and the windows down :)  thats right !! it was freakin' HOT out last weekend !.  I managed to spot at a few fantastic little farmers markets including this one !

 Home made Ice Cream and Chocolate/Banana Jam = Heaven :)

Thanksgiving weekend

Its never a "normal" holiday at our house, we either have family members picking on eachother, family that is sick or very ill or something randomly that came up causing a delay in our reunions but none the less we have FUN at our partys ! theres always something going on and screaming and laughter.

This weekend we have mom just getting out of the hospital (the only one who knows how to cook a turkey) is on bed rest .. thats are first monkey wrench, next we have a Funereal to attend in the middle of the weekend and then I was the only one that could cook this turkey for 10 people but I didnt have a sweet clue how .. :S THEN moms water tank broke so i have to cook this huge meal without any water .. do the math it wasnt pretty.

In the end the turkey was perfection !! the guests were happy with the food, the grace was fantastic and the dessert was a huge success ! and I only got one bruise from my uncles dish cloth attack, rematch at christmas if anyone wants to make their bets early ;)

Date Night

Its Tuesday so that only means one thing.  .. Movie night with my bestie Krista and tonight we have a special guest joining us,our good friend Lindsay.

Lately the home front has been a little crazy with plans and things that need to get done for the winter and John and I haven't had a lot of time for "US" so i saw this picture and it made me laugh because it's kinda how its been lately. Hope you enjoy ;)

It's a Party !

Awkward and Awesome

Awkward :

coming out of the dressing room in a clothing store shopping with mom and come to find out my fly was down on my shorts the WHOLE time i was walking around the store .. WHOOPS !

going to work in the morning with a half dry/wet Cottonn sweater on .. its cold, wet and gross .. sticking isn't in this season  ..

One of the tom cats around the farm pooped right on our front steps .. i cant wait to go home every day after work.. .

Harriet killed a bird that came in from our wood stove pipe and layed it in the middle of our living room rug .. gross plus it looked like someone had a pillow fight in our living room once we got home to see the damage.

trying to make Johns favourite dish ( his great great grandmas goulash) and it turning out horrible " its okay keshia, it tastes the same.. " i know it doesn't.

I fulfilled all my summer bucket list items BUT i didn't go camping .. that's okay its beginning to become overrated anyways!

getting a great start to xmas this year , our shopping is coming along and i have great ideas for decor and the house is getting its winter ready - ness soon too :)

Tomato Tuesday

I'm loving the tomato's lately, its like every time i need a snack i want tomato's ..

BLT check , Tomato Soup check, Toasted Tomato Sandwich check , Pasta w/ Tomato's check, Nachos w/ chopped Tomato's check .

You would think that i would LOVE tomato's in the summer time when they can actually benefit me ( causes less sun burns) but nooooooo .. I'm loving them at the beginning of fall :( i give up and give into the Tomato !

I've been busy busy busy organizing my works staff party this Sunday :) BBQ, bounce kingdom and popcorn & Cotton Candy Machines :) YUM. Ill keep you posted on how the event turns out but I'm already getting RSVP from people that are driving like 5 hours just to get here for this party !! I'm pumped to say the least :)

At work today i was feeling alittle restless and went outside to take some great photos of our Store.

Flashback Friday !

I"m mixing it up yet again with the days .. I've been SO busy with getting my works float ready for the Grand Street Parade happening in our little town this weekend that I've been missing out on blogging!..
Needless to say the float is going to look BOMB !

I came across this picture and it reminded me of when i was around the age of nine i found a tube of <ORANGE> .. EW lipstick that was my mothers and I put it all over my face ( i was trying to look pretty .. ) it didn't work out . 

Anyways .. the point of my little "Flashback" was that its so cool how vintage comes back around and different styles are reborn and you never know when their going to just pop up and become a style all over again !

Hey Women, I Wanna Go Surfing !

So John and I rented the movie "Soul Surfer" because I have never watched it and everyone says its great, the movie was good and in light of the surfing mood we decided to join johns family over the weekend in a surfing day . I finally learned how to "Surf" and i got a little bit of a tan too! <insert applause/cheering>.

Movie Night Woot Woot

Wake up call

Today has been a surprise in many forms,

I found out that one of my fav blogs --> Clothed Much , is actually written by TWO people yes TWO ! :O
can this even be possible !? . I guess so .

What i also found out today from the blogging world, is that another one of my favorite must reads before living my day writers did something new with her hair and i didn't even realize ! .. I'm "tapped out" as they say at work these days. ( found that out today too!) Her hair looks great but gez am i that busy with my boring life that i could see that or am i not caring about the "girlie" traits any more .. am i turning into a "farming wife" just because i moved out and onto a farm .. HELPP MME!

I need to go shopping .. and regain my Prada,Gucci, Channel loving life back asap ! i "Bunned" my hair every day this week . . OH YEAH this term is used when you have no time or care to actually do anything with your hair. "Showering is for clean people anyways!" - Catherine
