Falling For Red

Now that were getting into the middle of August and Fall is just around the corner, I'm going to be sharing some of my favourite fall trends for Beauty & Fashion with you all.

I never really liked the colour red before .. I always thought it was too bold and kinda out of my comfort zone. As I got older I then realize that brunette's look smashing in red!! so than I began my long love for shades of red. I've tried lots of different shades and variety's of red until i  found my perfect colour. Once you have that exact shade that looks great on you its like finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!

I now have the cutest red party dress, perfect red lipstick and when I want to feel little Bossy I paint on a little red nail polish! There's just something about this color that makes you feel like you can take on king kong and still look hot doing it!!

Lastly another great reason to wear red is that not only does it look great in every season but just about any skin tone can pull this look off too! Its one of my go-to colours for Fall and I'm telling you gals to go out and explore wearing different shades to find your favourite one. Don't be caught this Fall without this fab shade!

Sparkle,Shine,Success

I've been across the world; I've seen hatred and kindness. No matter where you are in the world or life you will run into those situations and the best way I find to deal with those types of people is to understand that they are not out to get you or hurt you but they themselves our hurting inside. We need to understand as humans that we have a lot of feelings and emotions that do get the better of us at times. It’s how we act on those emotions that differs us from one and other.

We were created to move mountains and do great things in life; this doesn’t limit us to our age or gender.

When I'm feeling blue I try to remember that I am a great person a leader to the youth, a success to my elders and cherished by my loved ones. No one can take that feeling away from you, you are fantastic!

Remember those moments of happiest where a child came to you and admired you, for just being yourself or a strange held the door for you because they cared. Channel those thoughts and feelings and I promise you that you will succeed in anything you strive for in life.

How I Spent My Long Weekend

Spring is Blooming

I fell off the face of the earth for a month or so .. or so.

But i'm BACK BABY!

This summer on the farm we have been blessed with three new kittens, 10 laying chicks and two pigs :)

im not even going to sugar coat the fact that my new favourite morning thing is walking into the big barn and shouting " Waky waky eggs and bacon!"

Hip-Hop No Time To Stop

I hope everyone's weekend was fantastic, ours was filled with long afternoon naps on the couch and holiday cupcakes to help us regain our long weekend festivities.

 My cute centerpiece for our Good Friday diner, Even Harriet (our cat) loved it so much that she jumped up on the table and tried to drink out of one of the straws .. silly kitty.

 We had SO many cupcakes left over that after everyone left and the dishes were done we went for a nice long walk down the dirt rd to give our last few cupcakes to our lovely neighbors.

Egg- cellent Weekend

As you have already read in the title i had a great weekend, it was my mothers birthday on saturday and i got to spend time with my family and today i spent some time with good friends over lunch.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

After a long weekend john and I decided to have breakfast for supper tonight :) theres no rule saying you cant and there is just something about doing something out of the norm that makes life so much fun!

While this is our first year living together even though we have been dating for years, I am just now realizing more and more little things about john that i never knew before. For instincts,  John is gods gift to eggs! doesnt matter what you request done to your egg he can do it and make it taste so good!! mind you i added the best smoothie ever to our dining experience tonight but he did steal the show with his egg skills :)

Tea Time

Over the weekend I went to the cutiest tea party where we learned how to make cream puffs and had the same tea that Queen Mother drinks!! (exciting)  Here is a photo of my excited ! and i finally got my tea cup, BOO YEA@!#!

Monday Music Pick

Normal Weekend

Our weekends usually are the same, John goes to work on Saturday and I stay home and clean and bake.
Sunday John does little projects around the house and I relax and maybe do some more baking (depending on Saturday) or reading.

 Usually every Sunday John and I try to have a nice 'family' Sunday breakfast as one of our traditions were trying to create for us in our new house. Last Sunday I made him some Cinnamon buns for breakfast because he just loves them! (so do I )

  Can you spot HHarriet  ?  Every Saturday or Sunday when I go to grab the nice clean warm clothes, this is what she does. Jumps into the pile before and during my folding experience.

This is Harriet's everyday but mostly on Sunday <3

Five Things Fridays

Besides my daily boring life news (my towns Winter Carnival is this weekend, yay! ) and my favourite nail polish of the week (Essie - Eternal Optimist)

 here are some of my 'wish list' items' and a few things I love anyways.

I've always wanted a bike like this! riding down a dirt road in the summer :) bliss

My Always Go-To Outfit - boots,skinnys, plain t with comfy sweater and bling necklace to 'pop' your outfit and then a cute bag or watch to just add to the already stample outfit.

The tourism lover in me is loving this decor idea!

Only one more week until im sipping tea with the gals and dessert making at one of our favourite stores!

My favourite pair of shoes at the moment, TOM so cute and comfy ! perfect for just running into town for a second or a nice sunday afternoon walk. This company is great for if anyone buys a pair of their shoes they will give a pair to a child in need. LOVE.

The Monday Moods

You know that feeling you get every Monday morning when your alarm clock buzzing starts your day off wrong and your warm soft bed is feeling WAY to good not to get out of ..  no ? well that's how i feel every Monday morning .. well lets be honest, that's how i feel every day but even more on Mondays.

I don't no what it is about orange cats but I just LOVE them, maybe its because human red heads love me or that every great show has to have a orange cat in it; Big Comfy Couch, Breakfast at Tiffany's,Garfield, the list goes on, needless to say on my big bucket list i will own a big fat orange cat , mark my words people!

& some of the coolest people I know own orange cats! BIG SHOUT ; Hi Miss Kitty and Jack ;)

Arkward & Awesome Thursday

 

Awesome: -Johns work is getting a local business award,

-Only a few more weeks til we get our puppy !!

- Finding the prettiest antique white vase at a local country style store this week, and it looks so good in our kitchen.

- waking up at 6:30am instead of 7am isn't bothering me as much as i thought it would, score 1 for more time in the mornings now.

Awkward: -Posting a photo of a butt in one of our advertisements and not realizing .. wops! my bad .. 

- After getting to work realizing you have a brown dirt stain right under your butt .. its dirt I swear!

- answering my phone at work by saying " good morning keshia calling!" .. ugh really.. wheres my second cup of caffeine when you need it!

Bring on SPRING

Today listening to the radio I heard that the groundhog said were not getting 6 more weeks of snow, so excited I hate driving in this weather and its cold and gross. Today i thought i warm up this post with a photo shoot my family and i had when it was still warm out!

 

I cant wait until we can wear our skirts again :) but i did enjoy relaxing after a stressful drive home(in the ice and slush) on our new couch and drinking a peppermint hot coco = love

This weekend momma and i are going to zumba then the Saturday morning market and im way too excited for that! i never get to see her since we moved out into the country and Saturday is the only thing getting me through this seeming long work week.

Wishful Wednesday

Pitch, Punch, First of the Month!

Ive been a busy bee these day few months, busy with work and starting my next chapter with John and our new house together and .. well WERE GETTING A PUPPY!! I couldnt hold it in any longer! :) his name is Remi and were taking a road trip in march to go pick him up :) ill have posts to follow dont worrie.

In other news .

My riding lessons have been going fantastic as well , Ive stop for the winter but I will be hitting the saddle early in the spring to get ready for the shows I want to enter this summer.

We got new furniture for the living room and a new wood cook stove to bring it back old school (insert cool black sunglasses wearing face) . My winter projects are to re-do the pantry but ive been getting so slungish with that .. i'd love to re-do the downstairs bathroom too! :) oh the joys of living for house work, ha!

Enough about my housewife life, i need to talk about this Snow issue that's been bugging me. ..  So as everyone knows and keeps reminding me daily, i drive SLOW, duh id rather me safe than veggies plus the one time i drove"normal" speed i flipped my car (not cool ppl) so if you see me on the road this winter treat me with respect and don't past me in the 10 cm of snow and make me freak out and almost die! just chill out and drive safe people!
